Infinitive of Purpose

When a verb is used to express the idea that an action is taken in order to do something else. Use the infinitive form to express a purpose. The alternate form 'in order to' can also be used in formal situations.

Example:

We are making sure the office is fully equipped in order to assist management.

We are developing a program to assist restaurant managers train their staff members.

We are developing a recipe to fit the tastes of younger consumers.

I created a seminar to meet the needs of midscale restaurant owner.

The infinitive of purpose is a verb used to indicate the reason for the action taken.
