Infinitive of Purpose
When a verb is used to express the idea that an action is taken in order to do something else. Use the infinitive form to express a purpose. The alternate form 'in order to' can also be used in formal situations.
Example:
I require more liquid assets to complete the sale.
I will work any job to settle a debt.
We are using our liquid assets to secure the loan.
We are offering debit cards in our bank to attract more customers.
The infinitive of purpose is a verb used to indicate the reason for the action taken.
